I believe my boyfriend is obsessed with his ex-girlfriend

I believe my boyfriend is obsessed with his ex-girlfriend. We have been together for a year. I have found a past calendar that he outlined everytime he saw her or heard something about her or when she called him while we were dating. I confronted him and he stopped doing that and assured me that he was not still in love with her.
This weekend I found saved text messages on his phone from over a year ago from her. He has erased all past text messages but these. Is he still obsessed? Is this enough for me to rationally leave him?

It sounds like he may be obsessed.

You have to put it to him straight. If he is still obsessed with his ex then how does he expect your relationship to last? Give him a chance to answer and try to believe him. Sometimes things hang around out of habit and he may be happy to erase those old voice mails.

If he admits he is still interested in her, it is time for you to look for someone new.
