He Cheated with Me - I Cheated on Him

I am a 45 year old woman that has been married for 12 years. I met my husband when he was married. He was not happily married and his wife had moved out and moved to another state. We've been together since then.
To make a very long story short. I love him with all my heart but I don't trust him. I know that a lot of it is because I started dating him while he was still married and I feel that "what comes around go around". I have cheated on my husband because I felt he was cheating on me. I guess I thought that if he could do it, then I could too. However, I didn't even have proof that he had cheated on me.
I have a horrible imagination and regret that I cheated on him and have no intentions of doing it again. I guess maybe I'm so insecure and jealous because I know how easy it is to cheat on someone even though you love them very much. Oh by the way........our sex life has always been wonderful and my husband is very affectionate, even in public.
How do I get over these horrible jealous and insecure feelings??? Thank you!!
