Okay, so I like this guy, but all we do is fight, he always picks on me and such, last week we were at a my friend's dish party and he was there, he kept running after me and teasing me, at the end of the night, there was only me and him and 2 of his closest friends and my bestfriend, and we kept calling each other names and such, so one of his friends asked "Why do you hate each other?" I said I don't hate him and he said he hates me, so when he was leaving he came to shke my hand but i didn't take it nad he got mad at me, last night when i was talking to him on msn i told him i was starting to hate him and he told me "it' your life do whatever you want" so i said " so it doesn't matter to you that someone's gonna hate you?" and he said " well if the person doesn't matter to me...".
All my friends say the think he likes me and i wanna know if he likes me or not.

Hello, and welcome.

I'm sorry, but I'm going to be blunt:

Give it up. There's a difference between "playing hard to get" and "'playing' so hard the other person hates you."

I think you're just going to have to accept that maybe he isn't the man of your dreams. Don't worry, though, there are better men out there who will treat you with the respect you deserve.

As a side note, I always recommend developing friendships with anybody you "like," and then if it turns into something more naturally, great, and if not, then you save yourself (and him) much stress and heartache.

I agree ~ that's good advice.

And I actually think that this is a possibility.

Some people may indeed behave like this.

However, as Sala says, acting like this is hardly going to make you like him.

Or, maybe he thinks that you don't like him and he doesn't want to appear to be bothered by this.

How old are you both?
Age can affect behaviour of this type.

Also, is he actually a nice person?
