Guess that all depends on how you feel about him. Boyfriend material or just guy friend material? In my opinion I'd say just keep it as friends. Afterall, with him living right next door, things could get a little strange if ya actually go out with each either and then break up.
But if you really do like him more than just a friend then throw caution to the wind and go for it!
