I'm not sure if he really loves me, or if he pities me, or if he only wants me for his sexual desires

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
My boyfriend and I have been together for almost 5 months. I love him with all of my heart, he tells me he loves me as well. We have become quite intimate, both through actions and words... After we had been dating a few week, I told him my greatest secret, I am a cutter... At times I have come close to suicide. But I was caught and now I have gotten help from 'doctors'. But sometimes I wonder if he only stays with me because he's afraid if he left me, I'd kill myself... I'm not saying I wouldn't, but I'm not sure if he really loves me, or if he pities me, or if he only wants me for his sexual desires... I am 14.

Confused By Love

RomanceClass.com Advice
A lot of your confusion would be cleared up if you had a close talk with your boyfriend.

Find out his feelings about him pitying you or not.

You can tell whether he only wants you for his sexual desires by examining how he treats you otherwise. Is he loving to you, call you, tell you that you are pretty, and is he there for you whenever you need him?

At 14, it is not surprising that you are running into troubles... you lack the experience of age that would help you.

Talk with your boyfriend and also think about how he treats you and maybe it will help your confusion.
Good luck!
