Where do i go from here?

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Male
First a little history, me and my ex girlfriend met when we were about 12(her) 14(me) and we date for a bit but the distance between us was too great so we broke up. we stayed friends and 8 years later we started a relationship. The relationship got serious we talked about getting married and the future, almost 3 months into the relationship she tells me she needs time alone cause she isnt over her ex boyfriend who she dated for 3 years but have been broken up for 3 years to this date. She tells me she has to figure out if she wants to be with me or him. Well we stay friends and we see each other about every other day for about a week almost like the break up never happened anyway one night we stay with eachother and i find out she is going to see this ex boyfriend the next who lives about 1.5 hrs away. Im not ok with this so out of jealousy i put a hickey on her neck while shes sleeping, i know i shouldnt have i wasnt thinking clearly at the time. Now she wont talk to me or return my phone call. What do i do to get her back or atleast get her back as a friend atleast?

You've dug yourself a very deep hole.

Obviously it wasn't wise to give her a hickey while she was asleep.

I can't think of anything you can do except apologize profusely for committing such a lowly act. Imagine if someone did that to you!

She will be a saint to let you back into her life, but give it a try, it may work.

Good luck! George
