When a girl calls you up, SHE WANTS TO TALK TO YOU. Not a 3 minute conversation where she has to make you talk. All she wants is to hear your voice, see how you're doing, and if your thinking of her because she's constantly thinking about you. Ask her how she's doing, it makes her feel wanted.

If it does come to something where you do need to get off the phone, tell her you'll call her later, and mean it. Because if you don't call, that thing called trust will go down, and the longer you don't keep a promise, the less she'll trust you, which is one of the key things to a relationship.
