What does ´Going Steady´ Mean?

If someone asks you to ´Go Steady´ - be sure to find out what they think it means! This phrase means quite different things to different people. Some people think it means to have each other as the "primary date" - but that you can see others if the main person isn´t around for some reason. Other people think this means you see each other and ONLY each other on dates. Some people even think this means that you should give up ALL opposite-sex friends, even if you´re not romantic with them!

Be sure you understand completely what the other person expects, and to make your own expectations clear. A lot of fights happen because each person "assumed" the other would start acting a certain way.
