Breaking Up :
Should We Break Up? :
The Thrill Is Gone

All relationships go through cycles - at the beginning everything is new and exciting, but as you spend more and more time with your partner, the ´excitement´ calms down into a smoother love and contentment. Sometimes a partner mistakes this for boredom and wants to regain the thrill - to always live in the peaks of emotion.

A relationship normally can´t sustain that peak constantly - the human body gets that surge of emotions and hormones when it hits a new situation, but it doesn´t maintain it indefinitely. Each new stage of the relationship brings its own atmosphere and qualities, and each stage is special. Learn to appreciate what you have as your relationship grows and matures.

Don´t immediately move along to a new relationship to regain those ´peaks´. You´ll find that you´ll miss a lot of the incredible benefits the more long term relationships bring.
