My boyfriend of almost 2 years, broke up with me because he felt he wanted to experience the single life again. It was a major shock for me. At first, I could not see beyond our relationsip and could not imagine how I would cope. So I became hysterical and begged him to give us another chance. After alot of tears he agreed to stay with me for another week to see if it would work out. I must stress that in this type of situation do not beg with your ex to take you back, as my ex only ever agreed to give our relationship another go because he felt sorry for me. We did alot of talking and it became clear he wated the best of both worlds, to be able to go out with his friends and get up to all sorts, but to also have a girlfriend there for when he was at home. In the end i had to tell myself to just walk away from him, to save my feelings from getting hurt anymore. Since our break up, i've had no contact with him. I collected all his things from my place and dropped them off at his while he was out. I then took all my belongings from his room, which made it look so bare and empty. If i'm honest i quite liked the idea of him coming home and seeing all the picures of us taken down and all my CD's, DVD's, and other things that were lieing around, gone. I know that once he get's tired of going out all the time and when he's sitting on his own he will probably miss me. Unfortunatly it will probably be to late for us, i've made it clear that he's lost me for good. All i can say to other people going through similar things, is to not dwell on anything, talk about it or write it down if it's to hard to speak about, but most importantly realise that you are much more than that one relationship.
