I was in love with my girlfriend for 2 and a half years. The first 18 months were amazing and I felt like I wanted to spend the rest of my life with this girl. After that, things slowly started to change and we began to argue a bit more and such. After 2 years we were arguing every week and all of it really took a toll on my feelings and confidence in the relationship. After two and a half years today I decided it was time to end the relationship. I thought about it for about 2 weeks and a few days ago I decided to tell her. It went horribly and she ended up convincing me to rethink everything. I told her I needed some time to sort everything out. I was totally torn as to what to do...I loved her but at the same time couldn't take the stresses of our relationship any longer. Today I went through with it and told her I wanted to end it. She cried for hours wanting an explanation. I felt terrible and she was a bit hysterical..not fun. I am now sitting at home questioning as to whether or not I made the right choice...looking at pictures of us together I just started to cry wanting nothing more than to have her back, but at the same time knowing I probably made the right choice by letting her go. I always told her that I would never let anything come between us, and now look...If you're thinking about breaking up a serious relationship, be SURE it is what you want to do...you just may end up regreting it for the rest of your life....
