This isn´t always the best idea - you broke up with your ex for a reason, and people tend to make the same mistakes if they get back together with someone they´ve broken up with.

If you really feel you want to give it another shot, though, first sit down and examine what went wrong. See if you really feel you can do things differently a second time around. You might be better off with someone who accepts you for what you are, instead of trying to change yourself to meet the desires of your ex.

If you find you are able to change yourself, next sit down and talk with your ex. Explain that you´ve done this long evaluation process, and that you really do feel that you are able and willing to change aspects of yourself to make the relationship work more smoothly. Find out if she has any interest or desire to get back with you. If she doesn´t, it won´t work - a relationship needs two people! If she does, though, then start slow and see if you both really can work better to keep things working well.
