Being possessive and jealous is not a sign of love. These are signs that you are thought of as an object to be locked away, not as a human to be cared for. Every human needs contact with others, with friends and family. This is part of what makes you a well rounded individual.

If your relationship with your partner is real, you will both know that the other will stay with you. You will trust each other. There is no reason to fear every time your partner talks to another person that they will be tempted away. If you really have these concerns, the trust is missing.
