It�s really, really common for people to date their ex-s friends, or friends of friends, or ex-s of their own friends. People hang out with people they like, and you tend to date people you like, so it�s very natural for that to happen.
Be sure first that you�ve waited a reasonable period to be sure you�re really over your ex and ready for a new relationship. After that, if you like the friend and the friend likes you, that�s all that matters. You and your ex are history, and now it�s up to you to find someone that makes you happy, and that you can make happy.
That�s not to say there won�t be uncomfortable moments. There will undoubtedly be things that all three of you will be at, and you�ll just have to deal with them as well as you can. But your whole life can�t be put on hold because of your ex, and if you and someone else are right for each other, then you�ll find a way to make it work.
