Dinner and a Movie

It's a good idea to break up your first meeting into several stages, so that you're not worried about running out of things to say or what to do next.

A great way to do it is to start with drinks at a casual bar - not too loud, not too crowded. That lets you guys get to know each other.

Then go out to a fun comedy movie. Don't go to something depressing or serious!! Go see something fun.

Then have dinner afterwards. That way you can talk about the movie the entire time, and spend time eating. That lets you be together without forcing you to hold forth on esoteric topics of conversation.
