Fights and Arguing

Compromising :
Solving a recurring issue

If you tend to fight about the same thing over and over again, apparently arguments are not resolving the issue. Sit down with your partner when you have a long block of time to talk, and are free from distractions. Start by each explaining your point of view, without distractions, and without accusations. Explain what you would want the resolution to be, and why it is important to you.

If you discuss the situaion in a calm, quiet manner, you may realize that there are reasons for your stances that you never thought about. Truly try to understand why your partner feels a certain way, and also try to really think about the way you feel, and why you feel the way you do. A compromise may be nearer than you think.

If you truly find you cannot agree, at least agree to disagree. You will be less likely to start a fight about it later, having had this talk.
