Don't Get the Gory Details of Cheating

It's VERY tempting to want to hear every single gory detail of the cheating incident. You want to hear exactly what they did, how many times, in what direction, with what amount of clothing. You think somehow this will help, that you'll stop imagining wildly and will finally know what happened.

But actually, this makes it much worse. Now instead of just vague fears you have actual, solid, unmistakable images that sear into your brain and replay over and over and over again. You have solid proof of the exact details that are a permanent part of your memory. This makes it much harder to heal.

Accept the general details, and accept that it happened. Then work on building a new trust together. To obsess over the past details will only make that harder.
