It is perfectly normal for women to have male friendships and visa versa. Don't feel you have to rush into a new "relationship" especially if you have any hope at all of getting back together with your ex. Instead, cultivate some male friendships. Part of why you and your ex broke up is that you were really not able to communicate well. That means there was trouble talking AND listening on both sides. The better you can learn to talk and listen to both men AND women, the better your chances of getting your relationship to work are. Also, being with people you normally might date - but spending time just as friends - will help you build those critical skills so necessary in any relationship.
