I am 20 and he is 23. So he hasn't asked me to be his girlfriend yet and he hasn't kissed me. We spent Valentine's together watching a movie and sitting close. He does hold my hand some of the time that I am walking with him. Should I wait? I don't want to ruin anything thatcould be there.

Hi Luvanimalsdearly smile

How long have you been close, and seeing each other?
How did you come to be together on Valentine's Day?

Do men actually asked women to be their girlfriends?
My husband never asked me that ~ he just asked me if I would like to go to a party with him.

Once we were 'going out', we were automatically boyfriend & girlfriend.

I know that it is not always that simple, because boys & girls may go out together as just friends, but I think that it is usually easy to tell the difference, especially once you have been out together a few times.

Do you want to be his girlfriend?

Perhaps you could give it a while longer, and see how things develop.

Or maybe you could say that people are wondering if he is your boyfriend, and you don't know what to tell them ~ so what does he think you should say. smile

I'm of the opinion that labels are highly overrated. Don't worry about him asking you to take on a title. Instead, spend time with him. Tell him about a cool movie you've always wanted to see, and see if he suggests you go together. Talk with him about a cool new restaurant in town. The more you spend time together, the more you will BE boyfriend and girlfriend quite naturally.
