How can he know?

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
The one question that seemed the most familiar to my situation was "In love with my best friend", but when I saw your reply, it kind of disappointed me because you said that usually you'd hug him (best friend) hi and good bye. But there's a problem with me, ***there's NO physical connection between us, this might even sound desperate, but I just want to hug him. I am also afraid I might lose our friendship, but I think I already lost it because in one of those "moments" of anger because I can't have him, I told him that we were not real friends, and that we were just pretending to be. I believe that hurt him a lot, because he considers me his "best friend" and/or his "baby sister" (even though we are the same age)

*** He has a lot of friends, and lot of girls that like him, and everytime I see him kiss/hug someone, I get REALLY REALLY jealous, and sometimes, I am even rude to the person he is talking to, and it seems unfair to me, because they don't know about my feelings, but I can't help it!!! I've noticed that he doesn't like it when I hug other guys either, but I don't know what he wants, because he never makes a move to hug me, or kiss me (on the cheek or something). He admitted he gets jealous, but he then clarified that is only as friends... That I can't think it is other type of jealousy.

***The other problem is that he is "labeled as ghetto" and I am "labeled as rocker" (although I don't like labels, that's what people label us as), so we are pretty much on the extremes, but as long as we've had this friendship, we've never had that problem, but I think that to be able to get to something more than friendship, he'd want me to fit in with his style, because we are really different when it comes to our clothing. I really don't know what to do, I sometimes feel like I hate him because he can't see that I love him BUT then I think... How can he know? What should I do? I miss him. I love him. I need him. All of it. He's constantly in my head...

RomanceClass.com Advice
You ask how can he know that you love him?

Easy... TELL HIM !

You don't have to come right out and say you love him since that might scare him off, but you could say something like "I am developing feelings for you."

Then it would be his turn to say something to you and I'll bet he will say the same thing to you.

Dress style could be a problem... try just wearing your usual clothes until he mentions it or you can ask him how he feels about it.

To keep a good relationship, be sure to communicate... it is one of the most important things.

Good luck! George
