how can i be a friend of a girl in my class when i am to shy and quite fat?

Being shy and fat will make it more difficult to meet girls.
It is good you wrote in here and asked the question.
The most important thing is to have a good personality. If you practice developing a good personality your shyness will melt away. One of the first things to practice are being nice to people. Greet everyone you meet by looking them in the eyes, saying Hi plus there name, and giving them a big smile. Start with your friends and then branch out to others.
Smile and laugh a lot... that means you have to listen to what people are saying and notice if others are laughing too. Be sincere when you do this because people will notice if you are forcing your laughter.
Make friends and share your feelings with them. This will be good practice for meeting strangers.
As far as how you can meet the girl in your school. Make sure she is first on your list of people you say hi to and smile. Some people won't answer right away (they may be shy too!) Once you have said hi to her a number of times, then you can ask her how she is doing, and then whatever develops.
Once you are used to her ask her phone number or screen name or email address.
