She always threatens to kick me out of her house

I am with this guy I am in love with but my mom does not like him. My mother gave me a choice, she said that it's either going to be my family or the guy I am with. This decision is difficult for me. Right now I am thinking of leaving my moms place and geting a place of my own because this is a constant problem with my mother. She always threatens to kick me out of her house because the guys I talk to are never good enough. What do u think about this situation? What should I do?

If you are in love with the guy who threatened to cut your throat then I am on the side of your mother.

Otherwise, it may be time for you to cut the apron strings and strike out and find your own way.

Be sure to do it in a civil way so you don't create a rift with your mother.

But, it's important for you to stand up for yourself. Be sure to figure out the finances up front.
