Whenever I try to talk to him he nods and then walks away

I am in the 8th grade. I am really shy around most of the guys in my school. There is one guy that stares at me alot, but never talks to me....I know he stares at some people too, but i just want to find out if he likes me or not. How do you think that I can make him want to talk to me? When ever I try to talk to him he nodd and then walk away and talk to someone else.

You first need to make him feel comfortable talking with you.

Both of you are shy so you need to start with the basics and then move on from there.

To get things going, start greeting him everytime you see him in the hall or elsewhere. Look him straight in the eyes, say in a clear voice "Hi" plus his name, then give him a big smile. After a while you will feel comfortable enough to ask him how he is doing. Soon you will be able to talk to him regularly and he won't be so shy as to walk away.
