My girlfriend and I have been going out for a couple of weeks now and we have met each others parents. They dont know we are dating though. They like me and everything but they just think im to old. Im 17 shes 15. Now my girlfriend is kinda scared to tell her dad that we go out. What should I do? I told her to give it time and slowly let him know that we go out, but I feel that in order for us to feel closer to each other we have to have our parents on the same page. You are in a tough situation.

You want to be truthful but at the same time you don't.

If her father forbid you to see each other then you are skating on thin ice. It isn't a good idea to sneak around.

Suppose she told her father that she wanted to have you just as a friend until she got older... would that help your situation?
