Making my Best Friend Fall in Love with Me

How can i make my bestfriend fall in love with me? see, she's in the Philippines and i'm in the U.S. now. i know it's hard enough to make my bestfriend fall in love with me. It's a big, complicated obstacle. That was my biggest problem. But now, i'm in an even tougher situation. We live thousands of miles away. Can you suggest anything? Please help me.

First, you can never make someone fall in love with you. Love is about two people who actively choose to care deeply for each other. It's like "making" someone love poison ivy if they are allergic to it. The concept of "force" and "love" should NEVER be together. If you have to trick or cajole someone into feeling something, it will NOT last and the person will resent you for dragging them into those emotions. If you try to pretend to be different in order for them to like you, they *will* realize it sooner or later and again will resent you for tricking them.

So the key is always to be yourself, to be the best friend you possibly can be, so that your partner enjoys the time they spend with you. The best relationships are always between best friends who actively enjoy being together, enjoy talking together, and who do not fight. If you guys are best friends already, you're on a great start. So keep up that friendship, keep up the talking. There are many, many couples who have long distance relationships so they certainly work. But you have to be very active in maintaining the contact and the sharing. I have lots of tips on long distance relationships on the site, give them a try!
