Seriously, it is just what you said the lack of courage and fear of rejection that has you afraid.

First off, you should realize that she wants you to kiss her. So every time you miss an opportunity you are disappointing her. She won't reject you because boyfriends and girlfriends always kiss.

Try this... when you are alone, look at her face and say "your eyes are beautiful" then bring your face close to hers and then kiss her.

This will be very romantic and she will love it.
