There's this girl I like but we have never talked. She looks at me and if our eyes catch each other, she'll smile or laugh. Last year she would look at me if I was around. I'll look at her if she's around, but if she looks back, i'll turn my head instantly. I also don't smile back much which I will do now though. The problem is that she's 2 years older than me, and seems too beautiful to like me. I'm a sophmore and she's a senior.

As you said, you should start smiling back at her and stop turning your head away from her. Also, every chance you get, you should say "Hi" plus her name and give her a big smile.
This will give you the possibility of becoming friends and who knows what will come after that? The school year is moving along quickly, so you better take quick steps to make friends with her before she graduates.
Don't let age be a problem... if she likes you, she likes you.
