We're both flirts, so it' a little difficult to figure us out

I have this guy friend, who I've known for a year and a half. We're both flirts, so it' a little difficult to figure us out. I was sitting in math today, he sits at the table behind me. I was making jokes with a few people at my table, when I started laughing really hard, and snorted, which he thinks is funny. He tryed to whisper( well I think) and he said, "yeah she and i have been best friends for a year", and then they whisper back and forth and she laughs and says, " aww" I think he might like me, but I have told him I liked him 2 months ago. He is the type to not tell you anything to avoid rejection, so what should I do? What should I be thinking in these situations?
