the conversation goes silent

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Male
Theres a girl in my band class and shes a drummer along with me, every chance i get i sit beside her and try to talk to her. But no matter what i try within just a couple minutes the conversation goes silent.iv tried everything from weather, to favourites, to simple questions about band, and nothing has worked.

Any suggestions?

Sounds like she has a major case of shyness.

Keep trying, once you find something she responds to then remember to bring it up again the next time you have a chance to talk.

Have a list of things to talk about in your mind... a trip you took during the summer, your teachers, friends, family, sports, hobbies. Once you have this list, you will never run out of things to talk about. Ask if her parents are strict... do they let her date? Whatever.
