Because in the end it is your decision

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
I'm 15 & a virgin. From a young age I have always promised myself that the person I lose my virginity to would be somebody i truly loved. However as I've grown older, I've come to realise the term love comes in many different forms.
So this is my sitatuation and i ask anybody who wishes to comment on it.. feel free.
At the age of 10, I met through family friends, my best friend's older brother. He was just over a year older than me, and my best friend was nearly a year younger than me.
Over the years.. myself and my best friend have grown apart and I have grown closer to her brother. Him and I now have a close friendship, and I have loved him for a long time.
Although we are not dating, on occasions I have come close to losing my virginity to him and thought otherwise and therefore stopped myself given the fact we aren't dating.. simply close & attracted to eachother. However now I consider that we share a different kind of love for eachother and I feel that it's the right decision now.. and am now considering.. and also waiting until I am 16.
People may say what they want about losing virginity but I believe if it feels right & you have given yourself time to consider it and think it over, then do as you please. Because in the end it is your decision. And i feel my decision is much more respectable & wise than those of teenager's who fall for drunken sex with complete strangers. Or teenager's who believe they are crazy in love for males who simply want to lie & cheat their way into bed. Because i share a bond with this person & it will be special.

RomanceClass.com Advice
You have given this a lot of thought and consideration.

My only concern is that you are not dating this fellow. But you feel that your love is sufficient to make the decision.

I am also glad that you are waiting until you are 16.

Good luck to you!
George
