everyone is telling me that they think he likes me

Their is this guy i became pretty good friends with at school. im a soph. and hes a junior. we have pe together so he always picks me first on his team, gives me a hug all the time, and talks to me usually whenever he sees me. Everyone but me for some reason thinks he likes me. they always pick on us to go out already. everyone is telling me that they think he likes me (even people in class i dont know) but for some reason i don't see it. everyone is telling him to ask me out, but he doesnt do anything about it. he acts like its nothing or something. wouldn't he do something by now if everyone already knows he likes me? How can i be positively sure that he does like me? im really pessimistic so i really need help.

It seems pretty clear that he likes you but he is probably worrying that you don't like him.

Why not take the bull by the horns and say to him "Everyone thinks we should go out together.... what do you think?"

This should get the answer you are looking for pretty quickly.
