Is there any advice you could tell me that i could give to my friend

My best friend is a very nice guy, he usualy is quiet and a little timid, but one day he told me he had a crush on a girl. so i tried to help him out, I gave him some advice like to talk to her more and try to be a little less shy. i would like to know if there was any advice you could tell me that i could give to my friend

First tell him that almost everyone is shy and he should get off his butt and take a leap into life. Be brave, be confident. If you aren't at first then keep practicing. If you don't try you'll never get there.

More specifically, he must greet his crush every time he sees her with a big smile and say Hi plus her name. Once she starts saying hi then he can say "How are things going" and she'll say "fine."

Pretty soon he can start a normal conversation with her and see where it goes. If it doesn't work with one girl, try it with another.

If you don't ask, you don't get.
