my girlfriend and i broke up in march after her grandfather died. i was living with her so i moved back home. two weeks later she moved back home too. then another month went by and she called saying she was dating someone and she was blaming me for things not working out-getting married ,having kids, serious things we never talked about until we were broken up. i got jealous after that call. then two more months passed and she called two days before my birthday but i wasn't home-so i tried calling her several times but never heard from her. until one morning i tried calling her she called back and said she is engaged to be married in four weeks. i couldn't believe it.not only that she is marrying a man of 46 and she is 24.she said she didn't cheat on me but i know she was seeing him before we broke up.so, with the age difference and the rapidity of the engagement and marriage, how healthy or sane is this situation she is in?? what are the stats on a marriage with this much age gap? won't this effect the children she wants to have??

You can never tell about these things.
I know of no statistics of success/failure ratios of age difference marriages.
As you said it is a rapid decision and any children will have an older father, but that is of minor concern overall.
My advice is to wish her well and mean it.
