He tells me he only loves me, he is crying and is on his knees

My boyfriend and I were crazy in love. We loved each other so much we would have easily died for each other. We were together for about a year when he broke up with me saying he needs time. But about a week later i found his online journals dedicated to this other girl. he was talking about how he really never loved me and she was his only true love (They were written after he broke up with me). I felt used and betrayed. I was hurt so much after a year of dating. Well he kept writing and he wrote how she was an angel and how what he had with me wasnt true. He never wrote anything about me or even talked about me that way, ever. But about 2 months later, he came back saying hes really sorry, he was confused, he was an idiot, how he is nothing without me. I took him back, and we've been together for about 4 months now, but I really dont love him. His words mean nothing to me, I dont really care if he will cheat on me or not, and whenever I look at him, I dont feel passion toward him in front of me but him from my memories,before he left. AFter all, he was the guy who never left me and loved me. Whenever I talk about this with him he starts crying and tells me he never loved her, that he is sorry that he would do anything for me to love him back with all of my heart. But I find it really hard to take him seriously. He sometimes still writes on his journal dedicated to the other girl, and although in there he denounces love toward me, he never denounces love for her. and he knows I read them. He tells me he only loves me, he is crying and is on his knees, and he tells me he told her he was confused and that I was the only one for him, yet he never writes he doesnt love her. Why does he do that? and what can he and I do to love and trust each other we used to again?

The only way to get trust back again is to be trustworthy.
Conversations will help a lot and it sounds like you two are doing that. So that is a good thing.
But his log seems to show another side of him that I don't understand. How can he expect you to trust him and still write that way.
Until you get an answer from him on that my advice is to not trust him.
