My girlfriend is ?? of my ex's sons. There ages are five and six years of age. I have shared a civil relation with my ex and treat our sons who reside with me, and her sons with fatherly love. I have reduced my quality time with my ex's sons to accommidate everyones time. But every time the little lads names comes up my girlfriend gets irrate, to the point of leaving. What's happening?

I hope she has told you what her problem is because I would just be guessing.

Obviously it sounds like she is jealous of the boys -- probably because they take your time away from her and they also represent a link to your ex.

This is a big bad problem that is not going away without some very hard work. Best idea is to go to a professional counselor who can help her understand her feelings better.

If she won't go to a counselor, then my advice is to dump her. Life is too short to waste on someone that petty.
