I was told by someone here that I had a wild imagination to think my b/f is cheating, and that if he were, I would know for sure. If I knew for sure then why is it that there are so many women who are caught by surprise when they find out that their husband or boyfriend is cheating? And if he wasn't cheating on the day when he told me he had to clean a downspout, then why is it that the pictures that he sent to his boss were from an apartment that he had already been working at earlier? Why would he lie about the nature of work that he performed at the condiminiums? If I should hire a detective, how much would this cost me? And if he is not cheating why would someone suggest I hire a detective?

You may be right and he may be cheating on you. But how are you going to find out except by confronting him or by hiring a detective?
My opinion is that there is some good explanation for the downspout incident. Maybe it was just a confusion. Isn't that possible?
