i was told he is going to ask me out this weekend

theres this guy. and i know he likes me hes told me, his ex and my BFF. okay so his Ex is my friend were not like really close or anything shes in some classes with me and i talk to her alot but were not close. i was told he is going to ask me out this weekend when we hang out together.but the thing is his ex (my friend) told me today that when shes going out with him she doesnt like him. but when they break up she realiezes she still likes him.she also asked me if i liked him i didnt know what to say to her so i said no. even though i did like him. she said that when i turn him down when he asks me he is probely going to ask her out. i dont know if i should say yes and jerperdize our "budding" friendship for him. and if what she said is true i dont know if i want to go out with him if he still has feelings for her.i dont know what to do any comments would help!

Your so called friend should keep her nose out of it. You are looking out for yourself not an acquaintance.
