ok well there is this guy who i like and well, we met the other day and we talked for a lil bit. we hung out and flirted. he said he liked me. how do i know if this is true or not?

Keep hanging out with him and talking. You could even ask him if he wants to go to a movie together or some such thing.

You are very lucky that he told you he likes you. Very often girls don't even know that much.
