How can you tell that someone wants to be in a long term relationship with you? What are the things that you can tell a guy to prove that you want to be with him and only him?

It takes more conversation than you have had so far. Have you discussed getting married and/or having kids? This is usually a good indicator of a serious relationship.

Ask him what he considers a serious relationship to be. What is lacking in your relationship? He should know the answers.

The only way to find out is to ask him and then have long meaningful conversations on the subject. That in itself is a sign of a serious relationship.
