Be his best friend

I like this guy and he said he likes me but he wants to wait till we are older before he asks me out. what i am afraid of is that in that year he will stop liking me. What should i do or say to tell him to wait for me or something like that.

Make him your best friend and keep in close contact with him. He may change his mind about asking you out once he feels more comfortable with the idea. Even if he doesn't change his mind, when he is ready next year, you will be ready and waiting for him.

If you can't wait a year, maybe you should find someone new.
