My Ex has a Girlfriend

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Female
I had a ex who I've known for eight years. We've always been really close and are friends even now. A while ago, he kissed me in public (my first kiss), and i got upset and dumped him. I embaressed him so bad, that now, two years later, he's still upset about it. He has a new girlfriend that has cheated on him, but he still thinks he loves her. They have a really sexual relationship. Even though he never pressured me for sex, I'm afraid that if we were ever to get back together, i wouldn't be able to fufill his sexual expectations. But he's so happy with his current girlfriend, that I don't want to pull him away from that. All that matters it that he's happy, but I think he'd be happier with me. He's treated me with total respect and unconditional love eversince I've know him.

I truely love him, and would like to know if I either need to get over him, or wait until he's ready to be with me again. There's a lot more to this story, but if I tried to tell it all, i think I'd run out of space. :) Thankyou for your advice...

The short answer here is that he has a girlfriend and is happy with her. You should respect that and not try to jump in just because YOU feel differently. If he breaks up with her eventually, then it is time for you to have your chance. But if you start a relationship by destroying a previous one, that is going to be a really bad foundation for you two to build on.
