Hi, I'm thirteen and I figured out that this girl I've like throughout 7th grade likes me. on the last day of school during math I gave her a note that had all my feelings written down on it. When she finished reading she walked over to my seat a hugged me and said she felt the same way. But summer has started and i can't see her anymore, both of our parents say we a way to young to be thinking about girls/boys and would flip if they found out about us. So What I need help with is how can i deal with not seeing her throughout the entire summer, and if i'll be able to find her once school starts up again.

RomanceClass.com Advice
Parents never want to see their kids growing up, and dating is one of the first signs that there's some growing up going on. So I'm not surprised that they would say such a thing. So what you have to do is play down the romance aspect and say that she's just a good friend and yes, you agree that you're too young to date. You don't really care what meeting her is called, you just want to be with her! So gather a bunch of friends, both male and female, and get your parents to drop you off at the local beach. The more things you do in groups, the more likely they'll calm down about the whole affair.

Staying in touch over the summer can be difficult, but manageable. Particularly with the 'net, you can IM all day long. You can call each other while your parents are at work. You can both get together at a mutual friend's house and hang out there. You can write post cards to each other. :)

If the interest is there now, it will most likely survive through the summer into next year. I'm sure that you two will manage it.

Best of luck!

Jenn
