i really like her and i dont know if she likes me

My neighbor and i have been friends forever(literally)we hang out a lot and i really like her and i dont know if she likes me, i think she used to but now im not so sure. I want to ask her but its so hard, if she doesnt like me then that could ruin us. I once asked her and she pretended not to hear me. Please help i really need it thanks.

It comes down to getting closer to your friend and bringing up the topic of feelings for people, and gradually mention that you think the two of you might be a good pair. See how she responds. If you open up the door like this, she doesn't have to take it that you like her, but if she likes you then she'll jump at the opportunity.
