Getting to know a 16 year old
Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Female
I like a friend who is 16, 3 yrs older than me. I dont know if he likes me or if he thinks of me as a kid. I want to be able to spend time with him but im not even allowed to 1-on-1 date till im 15. I dont really have any friends i could dubl-date w/. Also, i met him at church with one of my friends and i dont know if he likes her and i dont want my friendship w/ her to get messed up. If you could offer any help it would be great.Thanx! :D

If you're not even sure if he likes you yet, it's a leap to be thinking about dating anyway :) Your first aim should be to build up the friendship with him, to in essence become best friends. By the time you're 15 you could be such great friends with him that you are super happy dating and are complete sweethearts. So now is the perfect time to start.
Work on being his friend. Talk to him, email him, IM him. Learn what he likes, share your own hobbies with him. Don't let him judge you based on your age. Age is pretty meaningless in the long run. Let him judge you based on what YOU are, and the only way he can do that is if you share yourself with him. So start being friends!
