I broke up with my girlfriend 7 weeks ago and I still can not stop thinking about her it is killing me

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Male
I broke up with my girlfriend 7 weeks ago and I still can not stop thinking about her it is killing me I want to forget her but I cant, it feels like I have no control over myself anymore I feel horrible. She got back with her one of her ex boyfriends 3 days after we broke up, we were together for a year and anytime I tried to ring her after we broke up she would be horrible to me and call me names. Is she trying to hurt me? She is now telling other people my personal things about me. Why will she not leave me alone, she was so different when I was with her, she was so sweet.? What is she trying to do? What should I do? Please help me I am exhausted from all this and I feel usless. Thanks Very much.

You want to be back with her, so you aren't stopping how you feel since it's what you want. You don't want to be free of her. You don't want to stop thinking about her. If you did, you would.

That said, you need to learn to let her go. She isn't in much shape right now to go out with you, she's still in the vengeful and spiteful mode, where she's trashing you to her friends. There's no way she'll turn around now to be nice to you. Unfortunately it looks like there's no hope right now. However, there is a glimmer of hope later, when she settles down, since she's shown she can date ex-boyfriends. But I wouldn't expect that anytime soon.

Find other things to do to keep yourself busy. Find a new bunch of friends to hang out with and maybe one will spark interest between you. Immerse yourself into a new life and you'll be able to squeeze her out of your thoughts.

I wish you the best!
