i really like this boy at school

Hi,i really like this boy at school but a few weeks ago he said he liked my best friend. now hes not talking to her and says he still likes her in front of me but then says to other ppl that he dosent like her. he pays so much attention to me like flirting and touching me and saying all nice things about me and asking lots of stuff about me. my friends say he likes me but then i keep thinking he likes my friend although he dosent do any of that stuff with her. i flirt with him back and he likes it. he's always looking at me and vice versa im confused and dont know what to think does he like me and should i react?

He sounds like he's confused over what he wants and is playing around while he tries to figure it out. If you are up for it, sit him down and ask him where his head is, and whether he thinks that you and he have a shot at something more. If you're not at a point where you can do this with him, then continue on as you are and as he gets comfortable with you, perhpas this will develop into something more. Your friends seem right on the nose about his liking you, so enjoy it while you wait for him to get over whatever is stopping him.
