I started to like her about the same time as my best friend

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Male
I've known this girl for a while, and she has been going out with my best friend for six months. I started to like her about the same time as my best friend and i tried to get her to go with me and it just never seemed to work out. I know she has a boyfriend and i dont want to hurt anyone, but the thought of her just makes me want to get her even more. Ive tried to let it go many times but i cant get her out of my mind. What can i do?

Dude,

No matter how much you dig her, it's not cool to break-up a couple, especially if she's shown no interest in you.

Look at it this way, if you successfully break them up and she doesn't go out with you, you've not only lost what wasn't yours in the first place, but you've also lost a friend. It doesn't make much sense when you look at it that way.

If you can be friends with her, try. Even if you never get her, she may introduce you to one of her friends and chances are her friend may have qualities like hers... that's why we have friends, because they share things in common with us and vice versa. Besides, being friends with her will make everyone happy.

If you can't be around her, then don't. Hang with your best friend when he's not with her. Simple as that.

Best wishes,
Marc
