We're Always Fighting - I Can't Take ItVisitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Female
My boyfriend and I have been going out for about 8 months now and lately everything he does has been making me mad, and it causes arguments between us. I love him so much but I don't know if I can handle that anymore. Every night it seems like we are upset about something.
I don't want to lose him, But I don't know what to do.
People in a relationship should never argue all the time. They really shouldn't argue much at all. I know you see arguing on TV but in real life in a healthy relationship, people are happy. So the question is - why are you NOT Happy. Arguing doesn't just happen. It's a symptom of something seriously wrong in the relationship.
Nobody can "make you mad". You choose to get mad because of a situation. For example, take a dirty floor. Some people don't care about it at all. Other people hate it. Those are all choices. You can choose to accept something or choose to get upset about it.
Try going for a week without getting upset. Choose NOT to get riled up by situations. You might be surprised how it gets easier every day to do it.
