Being Friends with my Ex

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Female
i broke up with my boyfriend like a little before the summer...and I'm still not over him, i'm trying as much as i can but all the good times are keeping me from getting over him. but i also want to be his friend but i need to show him i'm not like i was before. can u help me out a bit??

Yes there were good times, but there were also bad times, otherwise you wouldn't have broken up. You need to give yourself time to heal and move on and be happy on your own. I have tips on breaking up here -

the first stage is to be happy with yourself and the life you have. Once you do that, you can work on your friendship with him and see how that goes.
