What does he really mean?

Visitor's Question from a 41-50 year old Female
We met on vacation, I invited him to visit so we could get to know each other better which he seemed interested in doing and said he would visit soon in the next couple of months. What does soon really mean? This century or is this like I'll call you and not really meaning it. We're both older.
